My apologies for the cliché opening, I couldn’t come up with anything more original.
This upcoming Friday, August 25th, will be the last time I run the Mint speakeasy at Julep’s.
In an attempt to preempt any questions about my upcoming plans, I have this to say. I’m not sure what the next step will be, but I absolutely intend on serving up delicious cocktails to you very fine folks sometime in the near future. I’m not sure where, or when, but I have several options, and I will make a decision soon.
Back to the business at hand. Friday marks the close of the Mint speakeasy at Julep’s, and the closing on a fun, and cocktail-filled chapter in my life.
I’ve made a great many friends during this time, trained a few excellent bartenders, and had many a late night. I’m thankful for all of it.
It is my hope that the both old friends and new will be in attendance for this one final evening of dim-lighting, eclectic music, and liberally-poured libations.
We’ll have food available, not full dinner, but a few buffet items on which to nosh while you enjoy your drinks.
All of the fan favorites will be available, from the Jack Skellington to the Paramour, and I’ll have a few new tricks up my sleeve.
I hope to see you all there, and please bring your friends.
Thank you for enjoying my drinks, it means the world to me.

Wouldn’t have missed it for the world! Mad love to you, Mr. K.
So glad you could be there. Respect (said roughly and followed with crossed arms and a gangsta face)
We hate we missed your last call! We were out of town. Will you still be crafting cocktails at juleps during regular hours?
I’m really sorry you guys missed it too. I’ll no longer be at Julep’s, but that doesn’t mean that I’m finished making cocktails in Richmond. I have the event coming up on Saturday, which looks to be a fantastic time. Beyond that, I have a few things in the works, I just need to decide which way I want to go.
